Ferry Toronto Parking

Cars are not allowed on Toronto Island, which means you have to park your car on the mainland in Toronto. Ferry Toronto Parking

There are some public parking lots close to the ferry terminal. Parking is available 1 block north at Lakeshore and Bay, 1 block west on Queens Quay between Bay and York Street, 1 block east across the Toronto Star building (near Captain John’s Harbour Boat restaurant).

The ferries to Hanlan’s Point, Centre Island and Ward’s Island depart from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. The address for the ferry terminal is 9 Queens Quay W, Toronto. Here you have multiple options for parking, among which Pay Public Parking, Harbour Square Visitor Parking and SP+ Parking. Toronto Island is a car-free zone

Toronto Island is considered the largest urban car free community in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). You are not allowed to take cars, motorcycle and any other motorized vehicle onto the island.

TTC Public Transport: bus, streetcar or subway

Because of the high parking rates many visitors go on public transport to avoid parking for the ferry to Toronto. Union Station is only at a short distance from the ferry terminal. This way, the ferry to Toronto Island is easily accessible by either by bus (6), streetcar (509/510) or subway. Another option to go to the ferry docks is by foot, it’s only a 10 minute walk.
