The ferry to Centre Island

Centre Island is located in the middle of all the three Toronto Islands, hence the name Centre Island. Ward’s Island and Hanlan’s Point are located on its east and west side, respectively. Centre Island comprises 600 acres of parkland off the shore of downtown Toronto. That’s why also known as The Toronto Island.

Cycling and roller skating

Bicycles, wagons, wheelchairs, strollers and leashed pets are permitted onto the Centre Island ferry at no extra cost. This also applies to bicycles as cycling is considered as the most popular way to explore the island. If you don’t bring your own bike, you can rent a bike at the bicycle rental. Another fun way to explore the island is on roller or inline skates. Please not that you are not allowed to wear these while on the ferry.
